In the contemporary society, people value education more than ever, and consequently there has consistently been debate on the education method used by the teachers in the class. Many teachers believe that by letting students have some time to discuss ideas with others, they will help students lay a more solid foundation for the knowledge they learn, while a great deal of parents believe that it's an ineffective and time-consuming way and strongly vote against it. From my perspective, discussing with others is indeed a good and effective way for students. Firstly, when students discuss with others, they can have a better understanding on the knoewldge they learn. When we say our ideas out loud we may be able to detect the imperfections in our ideas ourselves and have the opportunities to correct them. We may also have a sound understanding of our mistake and more profound understanding understanding by discussing with others. For instance, we may also be aware of a strange phenomenon that after several times of examining an article we write ourselves we may still not find any logical and grammar mistakes in it, but others may easily point them out. Discussing is of the same reason as this phenomenon since discussing can provide us a more objective view about our ideas reveal the problems and help us better understand the knowledge we learn. We can realize our mistakes and therefore lay a more sound foundation of knowledge. Secondly, by discussing with others, students may also get the opportunities to listen to others' opinions and learn from them. However clever we might be, there will also be a better idea suggested by others and it is beneficial to learn from it. What's more, we may never be comprehensive when we try to work out a question, but with the help of others, we might be able to concieve a more plausibe solution of the problem. For instance, Zuckerburg only set up Facebook after long discussion with his companions and even recieve a lot of criticism from them, Alan Turing only built Enigma after days of discussions and perfections with his colleagues, and Faraday only detected electromagnetic wave after discussion with Rutherford. It's safe to conclude that we may get inspiration and perfection of our own idea by listning and learning form others. Eventually, teachers may also utilize this method to adapt their teaching plans. In the ordinary teaching method, teachers can only teach everybody in the same way since they cannot know how everybody understand about the concepts they just learnt. However, if the teachers listen to what students discuss with others, it will provide teachers information on how students have learnt about the kbnowledge. For example, my physical teachers always devided us in groups and listened to what we have come up with as a group, so that he could know better about our undersatanding. Teachers might use this method to perfect their own methods. Admittedly, teachers directly teaching students is also an effective and common-used way and students may also be distracted from irrelevant matters during their discussions. But based on my analysis on both students' and teachers' aspect, I stronly believe that discussing with others are beneficial to students..
