I totally agree with the statement and believes that playing sports teaches people many lessons about life. First, playing sports teaches people about the importance of team work. In sports that involves a lot of people, for example soccer, team spirit is the most crucial ability for each player. One can be a brilliant player who dribbles pass six or seven defenders with ease, but soccer games are more than dribbling. Scoring goals as well as solid defences are the keys to winning the game. Even legendery soccer players like Messi or Ronaldo cannot win all their games just by themselfs. Second, playing sports teaches people to never give up. In many competitive sport games, winning can be a really difficult task. For example, in the last season, FC Barcelona lost the first leg of European Champions League knowck out stage. Their score was zero to four, and they must score at least five goals in the second leg to advance into the next round. Although everyone thought that this was an imposible task, the coach and the team had faith in themselfs, and did not quite. They won the second game with an astonishing score of six to one, scoring three goals in the last seven minutes of the game. The team completed the impossible task because of their spirit to never givie up. Finally, playing sports also teaches people that hard work will be rewarded eventually. Jimmy Vardy, the famous English soccer player who scored 24 goals in the English Premier League in the 15-16 season, used to be a factory worker only a few years ago. But after he become a professional soccer player, Vardy trained himself as hard as he can, and his skillsimproved significantly. He later joined Leicester City, and helped the team won the Primear League in the 15-16 season as the top scorer of the team. He is far less talented from other players who scored less goals than he did, but his hard work rewarded him. In conclusion, playing sports is important for people because it teaches us about team work, never giving up, hard work and other lessons about life.
