The reading passage claims three evidences to prove that this is beneficial, however the lecture casts doubt on it. First of all the reading passage states that electronic records saves costs, on transferring and storing medical records. However, the lecture states electronic doesn't significantly saves any costs. The electronic version still have to pay for the electronic storage. Also, large amount of data transferring also requires fee to pay for. Secondly the reading passage states that electronic version prevents errors, like illegible handwriting, improper transcription, medical errors and nonstandard organization of papers. However, the reading passage states that electronic version still doesn't prevent medical errors, when doctors record something they still uses paper, people in the office have to interpret with it to make it electronic.
