As the development of this society, our life style has changed obviously.  For example, making a decision. In the past, young peolpe usually let their parents make decision. However, in this fast speed society, we young people should make choice on our own.

In the past, because the ways to obtain the knowledge were limited, and we may like to ask some expericened people to get knowledge, such as parents and older members.In this case, they tended to listen to parents’ advice and let them to control determination. For example, parents let their child marry at young age. At that time, girls had no chance to meet the young men with the same age. However, their parents had the permission to know their children’s future partners through various ways. Without doubt, it was a right choice to depend on their parents when making a decision in the past. 

By contrast, we can get information easily nowadays. Internet, cellphone, using your mouse or your fingers to search the information, it will only take a few seconds, the things which you want will display on the screen. In addition, we learnt knowledge in a systematic way which will let us know ourselves better. This situation will be easier to make decision by ourselves instead of parents and older members. Another example, my brother Tim, who always make decision by himself. He dicide which class he wants to join, which subject he wants to deep research, which activity he could join. As a result, he become the top 10 in his school score ranking.Most students are independent nowadays. They would listen to their parents, but it is themselves who determine the final choice. 

Another reason is that the condision around us changed very quickly which may against parents' experience. For an example, in the past, young people would not go out home town so frequently, and now we always go somewhere else. Thus, parents decision may not fit with this situation. That's wht we should make decision depend on our decision.

To sum up, because of the reasons I mentioned above, I agree that in this contemporary society, young people should be better able to make choice on themselves.
