The teacher is one of the most effective job in the world.So the question about "The teacher was more appreciated and valued by society in the past than they were nowadays.", people were having the different opinion about it. Some people think teachers were getting more respect from people than the previous time because the teacher at today spends all his/her youth on teaching people. And some people think teachers were getting respect from the previous time because there is less teacher in the previous time. From my own real-life experiment and opinion, I think the teachers were owned more respect from the previous time. And I got different evidence and reasons to support my opinion.

First of all, the at today can make more contribution to society, so the teachers were more valued today. For example in sone region, teachers' contribution is even more important's to the society's economic construction.

Second, the teachers need to spend more time to be qualified as an educator, so teachers at today are more appreciated than the teacher in the past. For example, my middle school teacher Ms.Hacina. She is a math and humanity teacher. If she wants to be a teacher in my school she needs to have a test like SAT every year. The reason of that is because the school needs to know about if she is a good teacher, and she can stay in our school or not, so she needs to spend time on prepare the test.

Third, the modern student very cared about their education so they can get a better job in future.So the teachers were valued. For example, the modern student always wants to get more knowledge, so the teachers need to always prepare to the questions from the students. Basically, the teachers cannot be teaching students without any preparation. If a teacher cannot answer the questions from their student they will not get trusted.

However, I think the teachers were still as important as before, but teachers were more valued and appreciated in today's society.
