In the reading, it is argued that storing patients’ medical records in electronic databases has several advantages over traditional paper-based record keeping. First, the used of electronic records can help reduce costs by saving money o storing and transferring medical records.But the woman in the lecture thinks it is unlikely to be significant suggest because most of the doctors don't throw away the paper after they records, because they need to keep those for emergency backwards or some legible reasons. So it will not coast a lot. Second, the reading said that electronic medical records can prevent errors from illegible handwriting, improper transcription of data and nonstandard organization of paper records have cause errors that in some cases have had serious consequences for the patients' health.But the women in the lecture thinks electronic medical records cannot limited the possible of poor hand writing because most of the doctors will still use pen and paper, so that means the people who need to type in the electronic medical records or electronic system still needs to watch the hand writing paper, which will still caused the error.
