Preparing for food became an important part of our life beginning from the day our ancestors started to depend on cooked food. Many time are used for preparing tasty and healthy food. However, as science and technology developed, people started to develop more and more ways to make cooking easier and faster. I agree with the point that people will spend less time cooking and preparing food in twenty years than they do today. I agree so because of the future development of cooking equipments, the increase in restaurant competitions, and the increase in the demand of cooked food products. To begin, I believe that the time needed for cooking will be vastly shortened, due to the fact that more and more equipments that make cooking easier and faster are developed as technology developed. For example, pots that can fried french fries or roast meat are invented these years. These pots help people cook things without extra preparations. For example, chopped sticks of potatoes can be quickly converted into french fries in a simple pot rather than humans chopping it, drying it, and frying them one by one in a pot of oil. Secondly, food is not only cooked and prepared at home but are also served in restaurants. As more and more restaurants appear in the society, people started to choice restaurants based on the time taken for them to prepare the food. This forced the restaurants to compete with each other to make sure that the food can be ready in the shortest amount of time. Before, people usually waits for a long time in a restaurant. Now, however, food, even complicated cooked food are served in a very short amount of time, in for example, no more than simply ten to fifteen minutes. This supports the fact that since the number of restaurants will increase even more in the future (when more and more people prefer to eat outside), more and more restaurants will spend less and less time cooking and preparing food. Last but not least, more and more people begin to serve already processed food on the dinner table. In nowadays, many food which are already processed and added flavored on it are available in the supermarket, and more and more people started to prefer to buy it since heating it up back at home will cost only 3-5 minutes. For example, to save up time and energy, my mom usually buy processed food from the market and heat it right before dinner. No more than 3 minutes, the food will be ready to be served on the dinner table. In addition, because of the fact that these already process food are still very healthy and tasty, more and more people started to serve these on the table. As people started to focus their life on other more important things rather than cooking in the future, more and more people will start spending less time in cooking and will eat these processed food instead. Therefore, it can be suggested that will the increase of process food in the market, people will definitely spend less time preparing the food in the future. In conclusion, because in the future, more and more useful cooking equipments which can decrease the cooking time will appear on the market, restaurant will focus more and more on minimizing the time on preparing the food, and people's demand of processed food products will increase, I believe that people will obviously spend less time cooking and preparing food in twenty years than they do today/
