New and much stricter regulations are necessary for handling and storing coal ash. Although there are some effective regulations exist, they are not strict and sufficient enough. For example, the leak of polluted water can lead to significant damage in landfill and ponds. So we need some stricter regulations. And that won't discourage the recycling of coal ash so much.Take mercury,we all know that it is dangerous in a way,but people have found several methods to use it in other ways for about 150 years,so the opinion that consumers may think recycled coal ash products are just too dangerous and stop buying the products is completely wrong. Finally, the total cost of handling coal ash may increase, but when it comes to every individuals,it won't be that expensive as some people imagine. In summary, the United States government should create new, much stricter regulations for handling and storing coal ash.If we all follow the new rules and take steps to prevent coal ash,we can have a better enviornment.
